Yurim Myeon or Yulim Noodle House [유림면], opened in 1960, is a noodle restaurant located in Seoul’s neighborhood Sogong [Sogong-dong/소공동] in the Jung District [Jung-gu/중구]. It is in walking distance to/from SeMA — Seoul Museum of Art [서울시립미술관].
This restaurant is No. 27 out of fifty restaurants opened between 1920-1970, which were selected as Seoul Future Heritage Sites in 2021, i.e. restaurants that will last at least 100 years. There are actually only a “few restaurants in Korea that are over 100 years old“, including Imun Seolnongtang [이문설농탕], opened in 1904, which is considered the oldest known restaurant.
