This is ‘Chinatown’, the restaurant run by Park Hyun-joon (Lee Tae-hwan of 5urprise) in Thirty-Nine (Seoreun, Ahop/서른, 아홉) (JTBC, 2022).
Y Más [이 마스], opened on February 17 2022, is a Spanish café and bar, that proposes Spanish coffee, drinks, desserts and sandwiches; quite fitting in consideration that this place’s name translates to ‘and more’ from Spanish.
This place is located on the first floor of the Uyeong Building [우영빌딩], which was built in 2014, in Seoul’s neighborhood Seogyo [Seogyo-dong/서교동] in the Mapo District [Mapo-gu/마포구]; in short walking distance to/from Ecobridge Coffee [에코브릿지 커피] and Cafe CocoMoco [코코모코].
Before Y Más moved into the building’s first floor, multi-shop May Fruit Box [서교동 오월의과일상자] was located here from 2014 until 2019/2020. The space then went up for lease in February 2020 and afterwards Café Likit (라이킷), was located here until around July 2021. Thirty-Nine filmed at this location just after Likit closed down and before Y Más opened.
