Urban Oasis [어반 오아시스]
The MBS brodcasting team emerge from the basement of this building in episode 4 (full episode 2) of Spring Turns To Spring/Spring Is Coming (봄이 오나 봄) (MBC, 2019), with a drunken Kim Bom-i (Lee Yu-ri) emerging last, grabbing at director Lee Hyung-seok’s (Lee Jong-hyuk) ankle.
Han San-hae (Shin Dong-wook) has his first encounter with Bok Seung-ah (Kwon Yu-ri of Girls’ Generation) when he unceremoniously collides into her and her boxes of peaches outside of this building in episode 1 of DaeJang Geum Is Watching / The Great Jang-geum Is Watching / Jang Geum, Oh My Grandma (대장금이 보고 있다) (MBC, 2018-19), while trying to make it in time for dinner at home. He lands on a peach when he falls and panics as he’s allergic to peaches. After apologising to Seung-ah and trying to direct her to her lost peaches, he runs after his sister Jin-mi (Lee Yeol-eum), who had run past Seung-ah before him.
The tipsy RG Motors team also walk down the street opposite this building in full episode 2, after Seung-ah’s housewarming. It is also there that San-hae and Seung-ah accidentally kiss. The exterior of this building is also seen in subsequent episodes.
Urban Oasis [어반 오아시스] is a building that houses various independent businesses, such as a dessert place, a salon, and a high-end restaurant. It is located in Seoul’s neighborhood Hapjeong [Hapjeong-dong/합정동] in the Mapo District [Mapo-gu/마포구].
Though the building’s name is still listed as ‘어반 오아시스’ in searches, it differs from another building in Seocho that comes up when searching for it.
