After another fruitless visit to former police officer Park (Kim Kwang-sik) in episode 5 of The Devil Judge (악마판사) (tvN, 2021), Kim Ga-on (Park Jin-young, formerly of GOT7) and Yoon Soo-Hyun (Park Gyu-Young) sit down at the stairs of this elevator and have a heart-to-heart talk.

Bae Gyu-ri (Park Ju-hyun) contacts Oh Ji-soo (Kim Dong-hee) with his other phone from the top of this elevator in of episode 2 of Extracurricular (Ingansueop/인간수업) (Netflix, 2020), and is discovered by Lee Wang-chul (Choi Min-soo), who was driving in his van just under it.

Song Ha-jin (Lee Na-eun) shows Bang Young-baek (Lee Ho-won / Hoya of INFINITE) how to skate on a longboard on the upper top of this staircase on their afternoon together in Track 2 of Hip Hop King – Nassna Street (힙합왕-나스나길) (SBS, 2019). Later in the episode, he goes down the stairs with best friend Seo Ki-ha (Han Hyun-min) when coming from school.

This is a combined staircase-elevator that leads up from the street Duteopbawi [Duteopbawi-ro/두텁바위로] to Sowol-ro [소월로/素月路] at which Namsan Public Library [남산도서관] is located. Sometimes also called Sowol-gil Observatory [소월길전망대], it was inaugurated in 2014 and sits at the feet of Namsan Mountain [남산] in Seoul’s neighborhood Huam [Huam-dong/후암동] in the Yongsan District [Yongsan-gu/용산구].
