Fake couple Yoo Jae-heon (Kang Ha-neul) and Seo Yoon-hee (Jung Ji-so) voice their concerns to continue their act to Jeong Sang-cheol (Sung Dong-il) at this park after he chairwomen Ja Geum-soon’s (Go Doo-shim) farewell party in episode 7 of Curtain Call (커튼콜/Keoteunkol) (KBS2, 2022).

After a generally bad day including an uncomfortable run-in with her ex-fiancé, Kim Dal-ri (Park Gyu-young) walks through this park at night in episode 3 of Dali and Cocky Prince/Dal-ri and Gamja-tang (달리와 감자탕) (KBS2, 2021) and thinks back to their break-up. In episode 4, Dal-ri meets up at the Terrace Garden [송도중앙공원 테라스정원] of this park with Song Sa-bong (Woo Hee-jin), a curator of Cheong-song Art Museum to discuss the future of the museum.

Kim Ga-on (Park Jin-young/Jinyoung of Got7) takes a day off and visits Yoon Soo-hyun (Park Gyu-young) at the police station she works at and both go for a walk in this park in episode 9 of The Devil Judge (악마판사) (tvN, 2021). This is when he asks her the stupid question how she would react if he’d commit a crime and she retorts: “I would arrest you.”

Who-joon (Choi Tae-Joon) drives along this park on Central-ro (approx. at the height of #194) late at night on his motorbike to let off some steam in episode 1 of So I Married An Anti-Fan (그래서 나는 안티팬과 결혼했다) (Naver TV, 2021).

Kang Seo-hae (Park Shin-hye) walks through this park in episode 5 of Sisyphus: The Myth (시지프스: the myth) (JTBC, 2021) and is close to being disgusted by the happiness of people and she thinks to themselves how they can be so happy if their end is near?

This park (Tri-Bowl side) is briefly featured in ‘Love Virtually / Augmented Bean Pod’ (증강 콩깍지), episode 7 of SF8 (에스 에프 에잇) (MBC, 2020).

The Strolling Garden Bridge [스트롤링가든브릿지] in this park sits on Lee Yeon-seo (Shin Hye-sun) way to the Fantasia Concert Hall in Angel’s Last Mission: Love/Dan, Only Love (단, 하나의 사랑) (KBS2, 2019). She comes here with Kim Dan (Kim Myung-soo/L of Infinite) to practice walking in episode 6 and is back here in episode 7 crossing this bridge alone and with a lot of will power.

The Tri-Bowl side of the park can be clearly seen in the car/bike chase between Nam Shin III (Seo Kang-joon) and Seo Jong-gil’s agent (Choi Byung-mo) as they cross a bridge in episode 19 of Are You Human?/Are You Human Too (너도 인간이니?) (KBS2, 2018).

Kang Ha-yeon (Jin Hee-kyung) meets up in this park with her ex-husband, whom she defends in a trial in episode 6 of Suits (슈츠) (KBS2, 2018).

General Frost (Sung Hyuk) runs an Emack And Bolio’s (에맥앤볼리오스) ice-cream truck at this park — just behind the Tri-Bowl Cultural Center — in Hwayuki/A Korean Odyssey (화유기) (tvN, 2017-18). Son Oh-gong (Lee Seung-Gi) comes here regularly (nearly in every episode) to eat ice cream, and this is also where PK’s (Lee Hong-Ki) fans wait faithfully for him here, as this is his hang-out. At the end of episode 2, Jin Sun-mi (Oh Yeon-seo) comes here to attract black devils so that she can call out Oh-gong’s name and free him from his Joseon village prison.

Kim Eun-joong (Kim Tae-hoon) calls police officer Lee Soon-ae (Kim Sun-young) from here in episode 7 of Lookout/The Guardians/Catcher (Pasuggun/파수꾼) (MBC, 2017) because he has important information on a case.

Lee Ha-jin (Myung Se-bin) and her son come to this park in final episode 104 of First Love Again/Again, First Love (Dashi, Cheotsarang/다시, 첫사랑) and she asks him to be patient and have confidence in his father (who is on trial at that moment).

Ko Eun-byeol (Kim So-hyun), Han Yi-an (Nam Joo-hyuk) and Gong Tae-kwang (Yook Sung-jae) regularly frequent this park in Who Are You: School 2015 (후아유-학교 2015) (KBS2, 2015).

Oh Soo (Lee Jae-woo), Oh Young’s (Song Hye-kyo) elder brother, meets up here with gambler Oh Soo (Zo In-sung) and his associate Park Jin-sung (Kim Bum) and tells them that his father is CEO of PL Company in episode 1 of That Winter, The Wind Blows (그 겨울, 바람이 분다) (SBS, 2013), but nobody takes him seriously until he dies in a car accident.

This park appears as the Song triplets Dae-han, Min-guk and Man-se’s neighborhood in The Return of Superman (슈퍼맨이 돌아왔다) (KBS2, 2013–present).

Songdo Central Park [송도센트럴공원/송도센트럴파크], opened in August 2009, is a public park located in Incheon’s Songdo International Business District [Songdo IBD] (송도) in the Yeonsu District [Yeonsu-gu/연수구], inspired by New York City’s Central Park.

The Tri-Bowl Cultural Center [트라이볼] is situated at the one end of the park and it is framed by the NEAT Tower [동북아무역타워] on the other.

In 2019, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism –announced through the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO)– selected Songdo Central Park as one of the ‘100 Must-Visit Spots in Korea’ for 2019-2020. In 2021, it was again selected to figure among the Top 100 Must-Visit locations for the years 2021-22.
