Somuuido Footbridge [소무의도 인도교]
Yoon Soo-wan (Goo Hye-sun) cycles across this bridge from Somuuido Island to serve the elderly villagers in episode 19 of Angel Eyes (엔젤아이즈) (SBS, 2014).
Somuuido Footbridge [소무의도 인도교], opened in June 2011 after two years of construction, is a 414 meter-long footbridge connecting Somuuido/Somuui Island [소무의도] and Muuido/Muui Island [무의도] in Incheon’s neighborhood Muui [Muui-dong/무의동] —administered by the neighborhood Yongyu [Yongyu-dong/용유동, Yongyu Island]— in the Jung District [Jung-gu/중구].
It takes around 10-15 minutes to walk across this bridge, which is the starting point and also first section of Muui Bada Nurigil or Muui Bada Nuri-gil (무의바다누리길), a 2.48km-long easy hiking trail that takes about an hour to complete. This footbridge is one of the “8 Scenic Views of Nuri” (누리 8경) included in this trail, which allows for discovering Sommuuido and its “panoramic views of the West Sea, fishing villages, surrounding islands, and beaches.”
