This appears as the ‘Seogwa University’ campus, which Lee Dam (Hyeri from Girl’s Day) attends as a college student, in My Roommate Is A Gumiho/Frightening Cohabitation (간 떨어지는 동거) (tvN, 2021) –– as seen in episode 1.

Oh Yoon-seo (Yoo In-na) and Kwon Jung-rok (Lee Dong-wook) meet here in episode 4 of Touch Your Heart/Reach of Sincerity (진심이 닿다) (tvN, 2019) for a law tutoring session. While she imagined it to be rather romantic, it ended up being a rather dry study session.

In a flashback scene in episode 13 of Because This Is My First Life/This Life Is Our First (이번 생은 처음이라) (tvN, 2017), we see Yoon Ji-ho (Jung So-min) and Woo Soo-ji (Esom) talking about the book To Room Nineteen at the lake [붕어방] of this university.

Some of the buildings on this campus appear as ‘Hwayang University’ in Tunnel (터널) (OCN, 2017), where Shin Jae-yi (Lee Yoo-young) is a criminology professor — for example, Dasan Hall [다산관] and Building 32 in episode 7.

[SPOILER] The last kiss scene on the track field in final episode 16 of Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo (역도요정 김복주) (MBC, 2016-17) is located here, which partly appears as ‘Haneol Sport University’. The lake where Kim Bok-Joo (Lee Sung-Kyung) and Jung Joon-Hyung (Nam Joo-Hyuk) often meet is also here.

This university is where Hong Seol (Kim Go-Eun), her friends and Yoo Jung (Park Hae-Jin) attend in Cheese in the Trap (치즈인더트랩) (tvN, 2016). Buildings featured here are Dasan Hall [다산관], the 4th floor of the Pavilion [미래관] (this is where the vending machine is — placed here for the drama) and the Copy Room of the Student Center.

This is the setting for Seoyeon University in the Playlist webdrama universe, most notably in the Love Playlist series [as in Love Playlist 3/Love Playlist Season 3 (연애플레이리스트3/연애플레이리스트시즌3) (Playlist Original, 2018-19)] and in Re-feel (리필) (Playlist Original, 2019).

Seoul National University of Science and Technology [서울과학기술대학교/서울과기대] — also known as ‘Seoul Tech’ — was established in 1910 as a Vocational Supplementary School, and is now a general university in Seoul with six colleges — the fifth-largest campus in Seoul.

It spans across Seoul’s neighboring neighborhoods Gongneung [Gongneung-dong/공릉동] and Hagye [Hagye-dong/하계동] in the Nowon District [Nowon-gu/노원구]. It is not far from Sahmyook University [삼육대학교], also seen in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo.
