This is where the kidnapper brings Yoo Seol-Ok’s (Choi Gang-Hee) in-law in episode 8 of Mystery Queen/Queen of Mystery (추리의 여왕) (KBS2, 2017) to kill her – while she thinks that she’s on a romantic date. Seol-Ok finding out about this, comes here, gets knocked out by the kidnapper and is finally saved by Ha Wan-Seung (Kwon Sang-Woo) who had closely followed her tracks.
Sim Chung (Gianna Jun) arrives here first in South Korea in episode 3 of Legend of the Blue Sea (푸른 바다의 전설) (SBS, 2016-17). She’s “welcomed” by a group of ajummas that are here to see the “Miracle of Moses”, i.e. the splitting of the sea.
This ‘Sandy Road’ connects Seonjaedo Island [선재도] and Mokseom Island [목섬] that are both located in the village of Seonjae [Seonjae-ri/선재리] in Incheon’s Yeongheung Township [Yeongheung-myeon/영흥면], in Ongjin County [Ongjin-gun/옹진군]; a little west of the city Hwaseong. The water recedes twice a day and leaves a sandy road so one can walk from Seonjaedo Island to the inhabited Mokseom Island.
