Ppokkopang — Changdong Branch [뽀꼬팡 창동점]

Squid Game (2021)

Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jun-jae) wins a large amount of money on horse racing so he can treat his daughter – who lives with her mother and step-father – on her birthday, in episode 1 of Squid Game (오징어게임) (Netflix, 2021). Unfortunately he loses the money after accidentally colliding with a woman, and is forced to spend his last 10,000 won (about US $10) in this claw machine arcade in an attempt to win a suitable gift. Gi-hun is down to his last few notes, when a young boy offers to help him.
