Myeongdong Shopping Streets [명동쇼핑거리] are a major hub to go shopping for clothes and beauty products in Seoul. These streets take up the major part of Seoul’s neighborhood Myeong-dong [명동] in the Jung District [Jung-gu/중구]. The shops seen in Devilish Joy are Aritaum, Nature Republic and JC Jayjun, among others. The scene in Goong/PRincess Hour, as revealed by Yoon Eun-hye in 2021, was shot live among real passengers.

In 2012, Myeongdong Street [명동거리] was selected as one of 100 regular filming locations for movies and dramas by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Film Council, and featured in the brochure The Places In Seoul Cinema Fell in Love With (영화가 사랑한 서울 촬영지 100선). In 2019, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism —announced through the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO)— selected the street as one of the ‘100 Must-Visit Spots in Korea’ for 2019-2020.
