Myeongdong Noon Square [눈스퀘어]

Hot Stove League (2019-20)

Shy Bana — Myeongdong Noon Square Branch [샤이바나 명동눈스퀘어점]

The interior of this restaurant is where Baek Seung-soo (Namgoong Min), Lee Se-young (Park Eun-bin), Han Jae-hee (Joe Byeong-gyu) and their onsite informant discuss the potential scouting of a player from the States in episode 5 of Hot Stove League (스토브리그) (SBS, 2019-20). They also run into General Manager Oh Sa-hun of fellow South Korean team ‘Pelicans’, who is also interested in the same player.

Myeongdong Noon Square [눈스퀘어], which opened in August 2009, is a large shopping complex in Seoul’s neighborhood Myeong [Myeong-dong/명동] in the Jung District [Jung-gu/중구]. It houses brands like Mango, Steve Madden, H&M and ZARA and sits close to Myeongdong Shopping Streets [명동쇼핑거리].

Please note: the exterior seen in Hot Stove League actually belongs to the restaurant ‘Blue Point Coastal Cuisine’, located in San Diego’s Gas Lamp Quarter at 565 5th Ave (Geolocation: 32.711349, -117.159937). Blue Point Coastal Cuisine closed on November 24, 2019 after 23 years in business. It was part of the Cohn Restaurant Group —which owns around 20 restaurants within Southern California and Maui— run by its namesake owner-couple David and Lesley Cohn.
