KHU Central Library [경희대학교 중앙도서관]

Part of this campus appear as the ‘University of Oxford’ at which Koo Joon-hwi (Kim Jae-young) studies in episode 8 (full episode 4) of Beautiful Love, Wonderful Life (사랑은 뷰티블 인생은 원더풀) (KBS2, 2019) and where he receives a letter of his late brother Koo Joon-gyeom (Jin Ho-eun).

This building appears as the main court in Legal High (리갈하이) (JTBC, 2019).

When looking up videos of Oh Yoon-seo/Oh Jin-shim (Yoo In-na) in episode 9 of Touch Your Heart/Reach of Sincerity (진심이 닿다) (tvN, 2019), Kwon Jung-rok (Lee Dong-wook) watches one where she walks up the stairs of this building to attend an award ceremony — the same footage was shown in episode 1.

The lower part of this building —it is digitally rendered and combined with the upper part of the German Reichstag building— also appears as the ‘Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin’ that young Woo Seo-ri (Park Si-eun) attends in Berlin when she thinks back to her career as a violinist in episode 5 of Still 17 / Thirty But Seventeen / 30 But 17 (서른이지만 열일곱입니다) (SBS, 2018).

The Lee Sang-hyun trial takes place at this ‘courthouse’ in episode 11 of Witch’s Court/Witch at Court (마녀의 법정) (KBS2, 2017).

Nam Da-jung (Im Yoon-ah/Yoona) gives rendezvous-vous to Kwon Yul (Lee Beom-soo) to meet up at this building in episode 15 of Prime Minister & I/Prime Minister and I/Prime Minister is Dating (총리와 나) (KBS2, 2013-14), but in fact [SPOILER] he finds his wife Park Na-young (Jung Ae-yeon) who waits there for him.

  1. question

is the school open to public? can a tourist visit the school on regular days?

    1. Hi Xia, usually the campus of a university is open to public; buildings however are often only accessible for staff. But, of course, I cannot guarantee anything. Thom Musni has been visiting and he didn’t mention any difficulties doing so, though.
