A saddened Han Song-yi (Jung Chae-yeon) comes here to talk to her mother in episode 12 of My First First Love/Because It’s My First Love (첫사랑은 처음이라서) (Netflix, 2019), after seeing her with her new beau. Her mother explains that he was an elementary school friend that she’d reconnected with. Later, Yoon Tae-oh (Ji Soo) joins them, and he assures her mother that he will look out for Song-yi and take care of her.

Jeondong Catholic Cathedral [전주전동성당] is also known as ‘Jeondong Church of Francis Xavier’, and is known as ‘an important Catholic church in Jeonju’. The cathedral, believed to have been built in the early 1900s, is located along Taejo-ro [태조로] in Jeonju’s neighborhood Jeon-dong [전동] –part of its administrative neighborhood Pungnam [Pungnam-dong/풍남동]— in the Wansan District [Wansan-gu/완산구].

Take a bus from Central City Terminal in Seoul [센트럴시티터미널], which is a 2h 40min ride to Jeonju Express Bus Terminal [전주고속버스터미널].
Locate the Express Bus Terminal/Jeonju Buddhist Center bus stop [고속버스터미널.불교회관 정류장 — no. 30-925] near the terminal, take bus 79 for 7 stops and alight at the Jeondong Cathedral/Hanok Village bus stop [전동성당.한옥마을 정류장 — no. 30-601]. From there, it’s about a 4 min. walk towards the cathedral. Note that the entrance is along Taejo-ro, which also leads you towards the Hanok Village.
