Tell Me What You Saw (2020)

This area is seen as Haewol-dong in the fictional town of Muchon in episodes 8, 9 and 11 of Tell Me What You Saw (본대로 말하라) (OCN, 2020), which is considered gang territory with various factions staking claim. For example, the photographer who witnessed a murder gets chased down by gang members this street in episode 8. Later, as Oh Hyun-jae (Jang Hyuk) walks down this same street, he comes across a second murder victim.

Chinatown-ro [차이나타운로] is one of the main streets located in Incheon Chinatown [인천차이나타운] in Incheon’s neighborhood Bukseong-dong 3(sam)-ga [북성동3가] — overseen by the administrative neighborhood Bukseong [Bukseong-dong/북성동] — in the Jung District [Jung-gu/중구].

Incheon Chinatown was selected in 2021 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism –announced through the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO)– as one of the ‘100 Must-Visit Spots in Korea’ for 2021-2022.
