Imjingak [임진각/臨津閣] is a park located along the banks of Imjin River in the city of Paju. It was built in 1972 as a hopeful bridge between those separated by the Korean War, as it is just 7km away from the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone). It is now a key location for those keen on learning more about the Korea War, as it has various sites and monuments pertaining to it. It is also known as Imjingak Pyeonghoa-Nuri/Imjingak Resort [임진각평화누리/임진각국민관광지], and Pyeonghwa Land (평화랜드) — or ‘Peace Land’ — amusement park is one of the attractions within.
