Hill of Wind [임진각관광지 바람의언덕]

After the contract signing at P&F in episode 10 of My Unfamiliar Family ([아는 건 별로 없지만] 가족입니다) (tvN, 2020), Park Chan-hyuk (Kim Ji-seok) mentions to Kim Eun-hee (Han Ye-ri) that there’s a place he wants to go to while at the area. She insists on joining him at this park instead of going to the printer.

Young Kwon Do-hoon (Ahn Dong-goo) and Lee Soo-jin (Jung Da-eun) came to this hill on a date as seen in episode 11 of The Wind Blows (바람이 분다) (JTBC, 2019).

Imjingak [임진각/臨津閣]

This is where the Grand Final Night Classic Festival takes place in episodes 24-25 of Still 17 / Thirty But Seventeen / 30 But 17 (서른이지만 열일곱입니다) (SBS, 2018) and where Woo Seo-ri (Shin Hye-sun) and Gong Woo-jin (Yang Se-jong) share their first kiss.

Pyeonghwa Land [평화랜드]

On Joon-young (Seo Kang-joon) and Lee Young-jae (E-som) come here for their ‘date’ in episode 1 of The Third Charm / The 3rd Charm (제3의 매력) (JTBC, 2018), where they go on the Super Viking, bumper cars and chair swing. Young-jae returns here in final episode 16 when recalling her past memories with Joon-young.

Imjingak [임진각/臨津閣] is a park located along the banks of Imjin River in the villlage of Majeong [Majeong-ri/마정리] in Paju’s Musan Township [Munsan-eup/문산읍]. It was built in 1972 as a hopeful bridge between those separated by the Korean War, as it is just 7km away from the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone). It is now a key location for those keen on learning more about the Korea War, as it has various sites and monuments pertaining to it.

It is also known as Imjingak Pyeonghoa-Nuri/Imjingak Resort [임진각평화누리/임진각국민관광지], and Pyeonghwa Land [평화랜드] — or ‘Peace Land’ — amusement park is one of the attractions within. Nuri Peace Park [임진각 평화누리공원] takes 30th place in CNN’s 2019 list of 50 beautiful places to visit in South Korea.
