This is one of the sites that Yoo Ja-sung (Kim Ji-suk) visits with Na Young-won (Jung So-min) during their date/day-trip in episode 16 of Monthly Magazine Home/Monthly House (월간 집) (JTBC, 2021). They take photos at Daereungwon Black & White Photo, take selfies in front of Frozen Bride, get french fries at Hwangnam, chill at bakery café Olivee, and walk down a lane with murals; where they reunite later in the episode, too.

Hwangridan-gil/Hwangridan Street [황리단길] is an umbrella term for an “urban village” —composed of one main street, Poseok-ro [포석로], and the alleyways and streets around it— located Gyeongju’s neighborhood Hwangnam [Hwangnam-dong/황남동]. This area filled with cafés, restaurants and artisan shops is particularly popular among young people. Among them, the photo studio Daereungwon Black & White Photo [대릉원흑백사진관], which operates on a ‘first come first served’ basis and specializes in analog black and white photography.

The murals seen in Monthly Magazine Home are located in one of the multiple side streets off of Poseok-ro (see geolocation below).
