Hongik University Station [홍대입구역], formerly known as Donggyo Station, is a subway station on the Seoul Subway Line 2 (which opened in 1984), the AREX Line and Gyeongui–Jungang Line. It is a major gateway to Hongdae [홍대], which is part of Seoul’s neighborhood Seogyo [Seogyo-dong/서교동] in the Mapo District [Mapo-gu/마포구]. Exit 3 leads directly to Gyeongui Line Forest Park [경의선숲길공원 / 경의선공원].
