Han Jae-hyun (Jin-young of GOT7) comes to this temple to seek refuge after being put on the wanted list in episode 6 of When My Love Blooms/The Most Beautiful Moment in Life (화양연화 – 삶이 꽃이 되는 순간) (tvN, 2020). His friends, Joo Yeong-woo (Byung-hun) and Sung Hwa-jin (Han Ji-won) come to visit him. Before they leave, Hwa-jin passes him a full phone card and tells him to call Yoon Ji-soo (Jeon So-nee).

Hangnimsa Temple [학림사/鶴林寺] —also referred to as Hakrimsa/조계종학림사— is a Buddhist temple located in Surak Mountain [Suraksan/수락산] in Seoul’s neighborhood Sanggye [Sanggye-dong/상계동], in the Nowon District [Nowon-gu/ 노원구]. Its hanja name means ‘forest crane’, named as such because of its location’s geographical features and how they “resemble that of a crane sitting on its egg”. The temple was built in the year 671 by Wonhyo, a Buddhist monk from the Unified Shilla Dynasty, and underwent renovations in the 18th and 19th century.
