Cheon Song-yi (Jun Ji-hyun) walks with Do Min-joon (Kim Soo-hyun) on this beach at night in episode 13 of My Love from Another Star/My Love From The Star/You Who Came From the Stars (별에서 온 그대) (SBS, 2013-14). [SPOILER] With fireworks in the background, Song-yi asks if Do Min-joon ever felt love for her, even for a moment.
Eurwangni Beach [을왕리해수욕장] is a 700 meter-long white sandy beach (with some pebbles) in half-circle form, surrounded by pine forests. It is located in Incheon’s neighborhood Eurwang [Eurwang-dong/을왕동] —administered by the neighborhood Yongyu [Yongyu-dong/용유동, Yongyu Island]— in the Jung District [Jung-gu/중구]; a few minutes by car to/from Incheon International Airport [인천국제공항] and about 30 minutes by public transport to/from Star Five Café [스타파이브 카페].
The beach’s popularity is compared to that of Daecheon Beach [대천해수욕장] and Haeundae Beach [해운대해수욕장] and it is a popular location especially for sunset watching, family outings and MTs. Designated a national tourist destination in 1986, the beach was a rather quiet place until the late 1990s, when it became a hotspot as it is close and very accessible for people living in the metropolitan area.
