Eumseongcheon Covered Stream [음성천 복개천]
This covered stream appears as a portal into the past that Choi Jun-woong (Kim Seok-woo /Rowoon of SF9) and Gu Ryeon (Kim Hee-sun) take in episodes 3 and 4 of Tomorrow (Naeil/내일/來日) (MBC, 2022) to solve a case.
Eumseongcheon [음성천/陰城川] is a rather small, 25 km-long river that originates from Sutgogae Pass (숯고개) in Eumseong County’s Eumseong Township. It and flows through the central part of Eumseong Township [Eumseong-eup/음성읍] and the Eumseong Plain to merge with Mokdo River, in the village of Mokdo [Mokdo-ri/목도리] in Goesan County’s Buljeong Township [Buljeong-myeon/불정면].
Parts of Eumseongcheon are covered in the village of Eupnae [Eupnae-ri/읍내리] where the (Former) Eumseong Joongang Sacred Heart Medical Center [구)음성중앙성심병원] is also located.
It is at this covered section where concerts and flea markets are held during the Eumseong Pumba Festival (음성 품바축제), which is the representative festival of Eumseong. It is advertised on the Eumseong Traditional Market website as ‘hidden spot’ to be introduced.
