E-land Cruise aka Hangang River Ferry Cruise [이랜드크루즈] first set sail in 1986, a fact that was detailed in Tunnel. It now departs from two locations along the Han River: from the Yeouido Fock (여의도 선착장 – at Yeouido Hangang Park [한강 공원 여의도 지구] (since 2013), from the west of Wonhyo Bridge [원효대교]) and the Jamsil dock (잠실 선착장). Their various cruise offerings pass by a number of notable attractions along the Han River, like Banpo Bridge, Some Sevit and the National Assembly Building.
The Yeouido dock, also known as Nodeul Dock [노들선착장], is located in Seoul’s neighborhood Yeouido [Yeouido-dong/여의도동], in the Yeongdeungpo District [Yeongdeungpo-gu/영등포구]. The convenience store that the friends of In Seoul eat at is actually CU Yeouido Marina 2nd Store (CU 여의도선착장2호점), near the dock.
E-World (이월드) (formerly Woobang Land/우방랜드), who operates E-Land Cruise, acquired this dock and its Hangang Cruise Ship (한강유람선) —a ship that was called Nodeulnaru (노들나루) and was formerly the Han River ferry in southern Seoul— in March 2010 and regained management control as major shareholder in 2011 over C&Han River Land (C&한강랜드). C&Han River Land (C&한강랜드) was how this ship was named until 2012.
The Western-style restaurant ELFEE [엘페/엘페레스토랑], open from about 2005 to ca.2009, was located on the second floor of Nodeulnaru. Formerly named after the ship’s name, Nodeul Naru (Ferry) Restaurant [노들나루 레스토랑이] it underwent a name change to Elfee after a renovation. Elfee was a popular spot for dates or important group meetings. In 2010 (and probably linked to E-Land taking over management control again), the restaurant seems to have gone back to a variation of its first name as a blog entry narrates a visit to Nodeul Restaurant [노들레스토랑] and was run as such until 2012. From 2013 onward, this is restaurant Ashley [애슐리 노들나루점].
