Kyung Woo-yeon (Shin Ye-eun) and Lee Soo (Ong Seong-wu of Wanna One) come to the rooftop of this café-restaurant during their exploration of Huam-dong — the third neighborhood treated in their book Seoul’s Stories — in episode 5 of More Than Friends/Number Of Cases (Kyeongueui Su/경우의 수) (JTBC, 2020).

In episode 6 of My Unfamiliar Family ([아는 건 별로 없지만] 가족입니다) (tvN, 2020), Eun-hee (Han Ye-ri) and Geon-joo (Shin Dong-wook) grab some beer at this rooftoop restaurant. Geon-joo proving the he knows Eun-hee well, surpises her as he recites the things he knows about her, including her email ID ‘Liz’ which was taken after the heroine of “Pride and Prejudice.” He then reveals that he is ‘Thistle’, the one she exchanged emails with for a year.

In a brief flashback sequence in episode 14 of My Fellow Citizens!/Fellow Citizens (국민 여러분!) (KBS2, 2019), Yang Jung-guk (Choi Si-won) and Kim Mi-young (Lee Yoo-young) come here for a date, but Jung-guk pays no attention to her.

Kang In-soo (In Soo of MYNAME) and Yoon Sang-yi (Lee Sang of IMFACT) pass by this café-restaurant a couple of times in Wish You/Wish You: Your Melody is in My Heart (WISH YOU: 나의 마음속 너의 멜로디/Wisiyu) (Idol Romance App/Viki/Netflix, 2020) because it is close to Sang-yi’s apartment — as, for instance in episode 8, [SPOILER] when In-soo replies to Sang-yi’s confession with a kiss.

Doodoong Namsan [두둥남산], opened in November 2018 and closed in 2020, was a rooftop cafe and restaurant —and since 2021 café and bakery POUNDZ [파운즈] is housed here— located in Seoul’s neighborhood Huam [Huam-dong/후암동], in the Yongsan District [Yongsan-gu/용산구] — just at the base of Staircase Sowol-ro [소월로 계단]. It is also just one street and a minute’s walk away from The 100 Factory [더백푸드트럭].
