Bae Ta-mi (Im Soo-jeong) and Park Mo-gun (Jang Ki-yong) come to this beach in episode 7 of Search: WWW/Type in Search Word: WWW (검색어를 입력하세요: WWW) (tvN, 2019).

This is the second time that Bong Pil (Kim Jae-joong) travelled to the past (back to the year 2011) in episode 4 of Manhole (맨홀-이상한 나라의 필) (KBS2, 2017). He was sent by his father to work for his uncle. The rest of the gang follows him to the beach and he remembers that a fire would break out later. Despite trying everything he could to prevent it, it was to no avail.

Cha Do-hyun (Ji Sung) and Oh Ri-jin (Hwang Jung-eum) come here for a date in episode 16 of Kill Me, Heal Me (킬미, 힐미) (MBC, 2015). Do-hyun terminates their contract here and leaves a devastated Ri-jin behind. Oh Ri-on (Park Seo-joon) picks her up and listens to her sorrows at restaurant 바다마을횟집, close to the beach.

Deungmyeong Beach [등명해변] is located at the east coast of South Korea in the village of Jeongdongjin [Jeongdongjin-ri/정동진리] in Gangneung’s [강릉시]’s Gangdong Township [Gangdong-myeon/강동면]. It is characterized by rail tracks that are located right behind the beach. Raramuri [라라무리] is located at this beach and it is in close distance to/from the Haslla Art World [하슬라아트월드].
