Tired of life, princess Soo-kyeong (Kwon Yu-ri/Yuri of Girl’s Generation) walks on top of this rock in episode 4 of Bossam: Steal the Fate (보쌈-운명을 훔치다) (MBN, 2021) [Spoiler] and jumps into the void. Meanwhile, Ba-woo (Jung Il-woo) searches for her and is just in time to safe her life.

Chilgok Gasanbawi Rock [칠곡 가산바위] —also known as Kaem [가암/架巖], Gaesanam Hermitage [개산암/介山巖] and Chilgok Palgongsan [칠곡 팔공산/漆谷 架巖바위]— is a rock formation located between ramparts northwest of Chilgok Gasanseong Fortress [칠곡가산산성] on Gasan [Ga Mountain/가산] in the village of Gasan [Gasan-ri/가산리] in Chilgok County’s Gasan Township [Gasan-myeon].

This flat rock allows for a panoramic view of Daegu Metropolitan City, the Nakdonggang River and mountain ranges in the background. For this reason, it was designated as ‘scenic spot’ on September 9th 2021.

There is a large whole on the east side of the rock’s surface and according to a legend, this was the doings of Korean Buddhist monk Doseon Guksa (도선/道詵) (826/7-898) while touring the country for land energy reasons.
