KU Group CEO Jang Hee-eun (Ye Soo-jung) meets the newly elected president at this building’s replica at Hapcheon Image Theme Park [합천영상테마파크] in episode 8 of Search: WWW/Type in Search Word: WWW (검색어를 입력하세요: WWW). In episode 15, Bae Ta-mi (Im Soo-jeong), Song Ga-gyeong (Jeon Hye-jin) and Brian Min (Kwon Hae-hyo) attend an event at the invitation of the President, who secretly attempts to have them convinced to agree divulging users’ personal information upon the Blue House’s request.
The exterior of this building is briefly seen as the office of ‘The Voice’ in episode 24 of Terius Behind Me (내 뒤에 테리우스) (MBC, 2018).
Cheongwadae (sometimes also Cheong Wa Dae) [청와대] or Blue House, is the office and official residence of the President of the Republic of Korea — similar to the White House in Washington D.C. Completed in 1991, this building complex’s architectural style is a modern re-interpretation of a hanok. The name ‘Cheong Wa Dae’ is derived from its blue tiles, and can be literally translated as a “pavilion of blue tiles”.
Please note that the real Blue House is not featured/used in K-dramas; rather, the set at Hapcheon Image Theme Park [합천영상테마파크] is what’s typically shown.
