Cheongjin 3-ri Fishermen’s Welfare Center [청진3리어민복지회관]
When embarking on a trip to the idyllic (but fictional) seaside village of ‘Gongjin’, Yoon Hye-jin (Shin Min-a) finds this place to set up a clinic in episode 2 of Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha/Seaside Village Chachacha (갯마을 차차차) (tvN/Netflix, 2021). She had just lost her job in Seoul after having righteously accused her clinic’s head doctor of overdoing patients treatment for profit.
Cheongjin 3-ri Fishermen’s Welfare Center [청진3리어민복지회관] is a commercial and community building located in the village of Cheongjin [Cheongjin-ri/청진리] in Pohang’s Cheongha Township [Cheongha-myeon/청하면] in the Buk District [Buk-gu/북구]. It is 50 minutes (4 stops) to/from Igari Anchor Observatory [이가리 닻전망대] by bus No. 580. The building houses Sunrise Skin Scuba Diving Resort [해맞이스킨스쿠버다이빙리조트] on its first floor and the second floor is a lodging facility operated by the fishing village.
The center sits at the Pohang Section (#18) of the walking trail Haeparang [해파랑길 제18구간]. This 19.4 km-long section leads through the coastal villages and their sandy, white beaches between Chilpo Beach [칠포해변] and Hwajin Beach [화진해변] and also passes by Igari Anchor Observatory.
