ChangeUp Campus — Yangpyeong Camp [체인지업캠퍼스 양평캠프]
This complex appears as ‘Liyan Kindergarten’ in Eve/Ibeu (이브) (tvN, 2022); as seen in episode 1 when Lee La-el (Seo Yea-ji) sends her daughter Bo-ram (Kim Si-woo) on the first day of school.
This place appears as ‘Healing Village’ in Devilish Joy (마성의 기쁨) (MBN/Dramax, 2018). Gong Ma-sung (Choi Jin-hyuk) comes here on a work trip with his medical to explain his vision of ‘Healing Village‘ in episode 6. Sung Ki-joon (Hoya of Infinite) comes to interrupt Ma-sung’s work meeting to make him promise not to go to the ‘Classmate TV Show’, before showing him Ma-sung’s old class photo which Lee Ha-im (Lee Joo-yeon) is also in. Ha-im — whose first love is Ma-sung — will go on the show to ‘find’ him. Ma-sung then deducts that Ki-joon was acting out of jealousy. In episode 8, Ma-sung is back here with his team.
This camp is most famous for being one of the backdrops of Shinhwa High School in Boys Over Flowers/Boys Before Flowers (꽃보다 남자) (KBS2, 2009). For example, the scene in episode 1 in which Oh Min-ji (Lee Shi-young) accidentally spills her ice cream on Gu Jun-pyo’s (Lee Min-ho) shoe happens here between the Richmond City Hall Building [타운센터] and the Monticello Global Leadership Center [GLDCenter], where the F4’s classroom is.
Richmond City Hall [타운센터]
This is seen as the Embassy of The Bahamas in episode 13 of Taxi Driver/Deluxe Taxi (모범택시) (SBS, 2021), where Chairman Baek Sung-mi (Cha Ji-yeon) attempted to hide Goo Young-tae (Lee Ho-cheol). Part of the dormitory buildings are also seen in this scene.
Virginia Beach Water Park [워터파크수영장]
[SPOILER] This is the swimming pool in which Choi Min-woo (Ju Ji-hoon) supposedly drowned his fiancée Seo Eun-ha (Soo Ae) in Mask (Gamyeon/가면) (SBS, 2015). It appears in episodes 1, 2, 9 and 18 of the drama.
In episode 11 of Boys Over Flower/Boys Before Flowers (꽃보다 남자) (KBS2, 2009), Gu Jun-pyo (Lee Min-ho) also comes here to reminisce the memory of Geum Jan-di (Goo Hye-sun) doing CPR at The Ananti Namhae [아난티 남해].

This is ChangeUp Campus (CUC) —Yangpyeong Camp [체인지업캠퍼스 양평캠프]. Established in 2006 as Gyeonggi English Village Yangpyeong [경기영어마을 양평캠프], it was the first residential camp to learn English in South Korea, with a second campus in Paju. It was built to resemble a European/Western village to make the English experience as real as possible. It closed down in 2016, after 10 years of operation and now operates under the name ‘ChangeUp Campus (CUC) [체인지업캠퍼스]’ — with the same two campuses, the other being in Paju.
This CUC is located in the Yongmun Township [Yongmun-myeon/용문면], in the Yangpyeong County [Yangpyeong-gun/양평군]; around two hours east of Seoul by public transport.
