This village is made up of a number of buildings, with mainly three of them featured in K-Dramaland so far.

Kwon Jung-rok (Lee Dong-wook) and Oh Yoon-seo (Yoo In-na) pass by the entry of this place [출입관리소] by car on their way back to Seoul from the detention center in episode 5 of Touch Your Heart/Reach of Sincerity (진심이 닿다) (tvN, 2019).

This is where Han Se-gye (Seo Hyun-jin) first experienced changing persona (where she because a grandma while on a trip in “Europe”) and this is also where Seo Do-jae (Lee Min-ki) had an accident which caused his inability to recognize faces (specifically at the part of English Village with the fountain) as seen in a flashback in episode 1 of The Beauty Inside / Byooti Insaideu (뷰티 인사이드) (JTBC, 2018).

Concert Hall [경기영어마을 파주캠프 콘서트홀]

Han Yoo-kyung (Han Seung-yeon, formerly of Kara) looks through photos she has taken sitting on a bench just in front of this building in a flashback in episode 1 of Twelve Nights (열두밤) (Channel A, 2018), when in New York City.

In episode 15 of Sensory Couple/The Girl Who Sees Smells (냄새를 보는 소녀) (SBS, 2015), Choi Moo-gak (Park Yoo-chun) planned to propose to Oh Cho-rim (Shin Se-kyung) at the fountain in front of the this building. He decided against it when they saw a guy proposing to his girlfriend, and Cho-rim commented at how she dislikes such public proposals.

Studio One Summer Day [스튜디오 원썸머데이]

In episode 2 of Tomorrow With You (내일 그대와) (tvN, 2017), Song Ma-rin (Shin Min-ah) rushes here with a reluctant Yoo So-joon (Lee Je-hoon) in tow after receiving a call about being a last-minute photographer replacement for an online shopping mall shoot. The boss of the online shopping mall takes a fancy to So-joon and tries to get him to model for the shoot, but to no avail.

This studio also apparently appeared in Legend of the Blue Sea (푸른 바다의 전설) (SBS, 2016-17).

Kim & Johnson English Book Shop [영어전문서점]

This bookstore, sitting vis-à-vis Costel Nouvo, appears as a neighborhood antique store in Granada, Spain, that Yoo Jin-woo (Hyun Bin) visits (while Jung Hee-joo (Park Shin-hye waits outside) in episode 6 of Memories of the Alhambra (알함브라 궁전의 추억) (tvN, 2018-19). He breaks into the shop because it is a weapon store in the AR game Next and being here will enable Jin-woo to level up.

Teasers filmed here

One of the teasers for Why Secretary Kim/What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim (김비서가 왜 그럴까) (tvN, 2018) was filmed here, both at a building near the Concert Hall, and at the fountain near the ‘angel wings’.
Also, two teasers of About Time (멈추고 싶은 순간: 어바웃타임) (tvN, 2018) were filmed here; the first one being the main teaser, with flowers bursting everywhere when Lee Do-ha (Lee Sang-yoon) caught and prevented Choi Michaela (Lee Sung-kyung) from falling. The second was the 15-second teaser where the two leads had eye contact inside a tram.

This is also a filming location for another drama’s teaser — Tomorrow With You (내일 그대와) (tvN, 2017), where Yoo So-joon (Lee Je-hoon) and Song Ma-rin (Shin Min-ah) crosses paths and he takes a photo of her.

Variety shows filmed here

This appears as the campus of Produce 101 (프로듀스 101) (tvN, Season 1 & 2, Produce 48), and where the idol trainees stay and train.

Also, Running Man (런닝맨) (SBS, 2011 October 9 – episode 64) with Girls’ Generation as guests, was filmed here.

This is ChangeUp Campus (CUC) — Paju Camp [경기도평생교육진흥원 체인지업캠퍼스]. Established in 2006 as Gyeonggi English Village [경기영어마을 파주캠프], Paju, it was the first residential camp to learn English in South Korea, with a second campus in Yangpyeong. It was built to resemble a European/Western village to make the English experience as real as possible. It closed down in 2016, after 10 years of operation and now operates under the name ‘ChangeUp Campus (CUC) [체인지업캠퍼스]’ — with the same two campuses.

This ChangeUp Campus (CUC) is located in the village of Beopheung-ri [법흥리] in the Tanhyeon Township [Tanhyeon-myeon/탄현면] of the city of Paju, Gyeonggi-do, and neighbors Heyri Art Village [헤이리예술마을]. Its ‘trademark’ is a (now red) tram that runs through this village.

When visiting, please consider that parts of Boys Over Flowers (꽃보다 남자)‘s Shinhwa High School were not filmed here but at CUC’s other campus in Yangpyeong.
