Cafe Sanida [사니다카페]

It's Okay to Not Be Okay (2020)

The entrance and the grounds of this café appear as Ko Moon-young’s (Seo Yea-ji) curse castle in It’s Okay to Not Be Okay (사이코지만 괜찮아) (tvN, 2020) — as seen, for instance, in episodes 1, 3, 5 and 6.

Cafe Sanida [사니다카페], opened in 2019, is a café/bakery that “sits on the top of a mountain but close to the road”, located in the village of Jusan [Jusan-ri/주산리] in Wonju’s Hojeo Township [Hojeo-myeon/호저면]. The surrounding mountains can be viewed from its rooftop, and as the café is open until 10pm, it makes a popular spot for sunset viewing.

While the the café’s real-life entrance appears as that of the curse castle’s, the facade of the castle was actually erected in its garden specially for the drama.

Please note when planning a visit that the facade is already torn down as of September 2020 as gELZGODDESS reports to us.

I recently visited the cafe and was kinda disappointed to find out that the facade was already torn down. Only the gate remains as well as some photo markers.

    1. Ohh nooo! You must have been quite disappointed. Many thanks for letting us know; this will be precious to know for those who plan to visit especially as it is a bit out of the usual K-Drama ways.
