Lakkomma Building [라꼼마빌딩] is a building located at Eoulmadang Street [어울마당로] in in Hongdae [홍대], which is part of Seoul’s neighborhood Seogyo [Seogyo-dong/서교동] in the Mapo District [Mapo-gu/마포구]. From 2011 to 2017, the building housed book café Café kkomma or Café Comma [카페꼼마], that was opened by Jang Eu-ddeum, a former marketer for Munhakdongne Publishing Group, on its first floor. Café Comma not only served drinks but was also a book store that sold “remainders published by Munhakdongne at a 50% discount,” to safe some of these books from destruction. Now, the first floor houses Chinese restaurant ‘짬뽕지존 홍대점’.
