Beotigogae Station [버티고개역/버티고개驛], opened on March 9 2001, is a subway station on Seoul Subway Line 6 that carries the station number 632. It is located in Seoul’s neighborhood Sindang [Sindang-dong/신당동] in the Jung District [Jung-gu/중구].

The station’s name comes from the nearby Beoti Pass [부어치/扶於峙], which got its name from a legend in which soldiers chased after a thief through the pass from Hannam-dong to Yaksu-dong in the Joseon period, shouting beondo! (번도, thief). The word beondo later became beonti (부어치) and then beoti (扶於峙).
